Instructor:
Judith Dambowic, PT
Location: Oakland, California

Description: This course will introduce you to novel, creative ways of assessing upper quarter movement dysfunction and ineffective motor patterns. You will learn treatment strategies that focus on improving the patient’s ability to learn as well providing them with concrete skills. . Course Objectives:
The participant will be able to determine appropriate technique selection, develop an intervention plan and progress grade V mobilization interventions based on the patient’s clinical presentation.

The participant will be refine handling skills in the application of peripheral and spinal Grade V mobilization techniques, taking into consideration tissues and structures involved, and force/speed factors for successful implementation.

The participant will be able to identify when Grade V mobilization techniques are contraindicated and develop alternative interventions for patient management.

PREREQUISITE. Fellowship training or comparable experience with Grade V mobilization such as completion of the NAIOMT level IV Advanced Spinal Techniques or Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles and West Los Angeles Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Fellowship.
